As students of a prestigious mages’ university, Kai and Cilis couldn’t be more different— proud, clever, friendless Kai is a student of the magic of Time, while quiet, unkempt Cilis studies the mysteries of the Soul. But when they’re dropped into a maze of mind-bending realities for their final exam, and a masked stalker begins picking off their classmates, Kai and Cilis will have to learn how to work as partners— if they want to live to graduate.
